New theatre: Lost In Space scratch night finds a home on Youtube

The curtain comes up on a new online theatre scratch night this weekend. Sam Wonfor has the details which are a bit out of this world.

Lost In Space is a new online theatre scratch night from the North East

Scott Turnbull and Milly Blue will host Lost In Space via Youtube this weekend

With theatres everywhere still sitting in darkness, the news that there’s some new work available for online enjoyment is always welcome.

So, big applause for Lost in Space – a sci-fi themed night out for people who are in – this Saturday.

A scratch night performed via livestream at 8.30pm on Saturday (June 6), proceedings will be hosted by Scott Turnbull and Milly Blue and will feature a trio of 15-minute performances from associate artists of Northern Stage and ARC, Stockton including Melody Sproates, Mike Edwards, and Luca Rutherford.

It will be a Pay What You Decide performance and tickets need to be pre-booked here. Once you’ve secured your place, details of the live stream will be emailed to you in good time to make sure you can be sitted comfortably and ready to soak up the performances.

At the end of the live stream, you’ll be sent a link which will allow you to make a payment based on what you thought the evening was worth. A fiver is what is being suggested, but do feel free to ramp that up as much as you like.

Lost in Space will be streamed via Youtube. To reserve your place, you’ll have to book before 1pm on Saturday in order that they have time to send you the all important link.
