What is it?
A much loved and longstanding weekly market featuring a big crowd of independent traders in a pretty iconic spot. An array of tempting hot food options, treaty cupcakes, artisan cheese, bread and jam makers, bargain clothes, hand-crafted art and jewellery, quirky gifts and four-packs of tea towels are among the things you’ll find as you wander along the riverside stalls.
Why is it smashing?
Spanning the most recognisable and stunning section of Newcastle’s Quayside, the Sunday Quayside Market with its stalls, gorgeous foodie smells and a busker-supplied soundtrack is a pretty lovely way to kickstart your Sunday. Whether you’re fancying a bit of shopping, a hearty breakfast/brunch/lunch or just a canny stroll with a coffee (Helpful note: we tend to embrace all three), you’ll feel like you’ve found what you were looking for here.
