Make and Mend Market

What is it?

Newcastle’s longest running independent market, the Make and Mend Market fills the city’s Grainger Market with a melting pot of creative loveliness and artisan delights on a monthly basis. In normal times, the first Saturday of every month is the one to mark in your diary (except for January).

Why is it Smashing?

See above. What’s not to love about a regular opportunity to browse among a gathered group of talented artists and makers in a place which has been at the heart of city’s shopping habits for the best part of 200 years? Art, jewellery, soaps, skincare products, reclaimed wooden furniture, upcycled homeware… and much more is what you’ll find.

And the great thing is, the stalls chop and change from month to month, so it’s always a good idea to make a point of calling in. You never know what you might find.

Ooh, also, since March 2019, there’s also been a quarterly Make and Print Market to enjoy. These guys just don’t know when to stop!
