Cumberland Arms

What is it?

A homely pub in the Ouseburn Valley where there’s always something going on, be it live music, a family friendly barbecue in the cobbled yard or just a game of scrabble in front of the open fire. Real ales from local breweries are rotated regularly in the bar and the Cumberland is is renowned for its cider selection.

Why is it smashing?

’There’s always something going on’ is an overused cliche, but it’s true at the Cumberland. There’s some form of live music in the back bar or the upstairs stage most nights of the week as well as comedy, spoken word and even theatre events.
