Branches

What is it?

Branches is a stylish restaurant that’s hard to miss. Usually it’s lit up like the proverbial Christmas tree. There’s a tree inside, too, meaning the name is no conundrum.

The restaurant, which replaced The Cherry Tree in 2018, is open every day except Monday and caters for individuals, couples or parties (there’s a private dining room for hire).

Why is it smashing?

“Elegant dining” proclaims the sign outside and it doesn’t disappoint. It looks like a special occasion kind of place from the outside; inside, with tables arranged round that extraordinary blossom-laden tree, it’s a real eye-opener.

Whether the look is to your taste or not, the delicious food almost certainly will be.

Award-winning executive head chef Cevat Robert Elat promises locally sourced produce and a menu reflecting the changing seasons.
