Based at the striking Palace of the Arts – the only building left from the North East Exhibition of 1929 – in the middle of Exhibition Park, Wylam Brewery is a fully working brewery, Tap House, and absolute treat of a venue which plays host to a steady stream of live events to shout about from its very grand, Grand Hall.
Why is it smashing?
From superstar DJ nights and epic choir performances to visits from the Northern Sinfonia and gigs from Geordie Motown celebrators, Motoon, the music roster pulls in regular sold out crowds.
Meanwhile a tap house which is open Thursday to Sunday, a hefty portion of food and drink festivals, together with a tasty menu of food battles including Battle of the Burger, Argie Bhaji, Slice Wars, Battle of the BBQ and a legendary Sunday Lunch ensure there’s always something for your tastebuds to look forward to.
