What is it?
Since opening in 2013, Peace and Loaf has been a consistent source of foodie joy for the people of Newcastle and beyond. Part-owned by head chef, Dave Coulson, it’s known for its innovative and beautifully presented seasonal dishes as well as warm, welcoming and all round lovely atmosphere.
Unsurprising then, that it’s gobbled up a plateful of awards and accolades in recent years.

Making the absolute best use of ingredients and pledging to only serve up stuff which is in season, Peace and Loaf prides itself on sourcing as much of its menu locally as possible. Some of what will end up looking beautiful on your plate may well have come from the restaurant’s backyard – Dave can often be found foraging in neighbouring Jesmond Dene…
