What is it?
A cracking craft beer pub in Newcastle city centre, the Town Mouse Ale House brings the best of the beers and ales from local independent brewers to its pumps – and through them, to anyone who is lucky enough to come across their cosy basement bar.
Why is it smashing?
Aside from its squeakingly good moniker, the Town Mouse has successfully styled itself as a traditional drinking house and as such, is a great place for a pint. Offering punters the chance to sample the cream of the local brewing scene, this very dog-friendly micro pub boasts friendly and knowledgeable staff and is therefore a perfect first port of call for anyone wanting to dip their toe into craft ale. (Disclaimer: NEVER dip a toe into anyone’s craft ale. At least without asking first.)
